All students are encouraged to undertake the EAL programme so that they can make progress in areas of English listening, speaking, reading and writing. This is facilitated through our online interactive activities and web content made available in the programme.

The online resources will also adapt to the progress of the child and will provide increasingly challenging activities for him or her, as he or she progresses.

One of the greatest ways for parents to help their children learn English is by attempting to learn English themselves.

These workshops will offer opportunities for parents to practice new skills and learn alongside their children, which, in itself is a great motivator. All parents will be involved in educational activities and presentations where they will be given information on how to assist their children to learn and practice English.

The online EAL programme initiates with students undertaking an online assessment so that they can be grouped into an appropriate level of their competency. This is conducted via the online Pearson Benchmark Young Learners Test. The test is designed to be interesting and fun experience for students.

Based on the rating of the assessment, students will be placed into their appropriate level of language proficiency profile. After which, they will then receive an email once a week with recorded content and instructional activities for them to complete in their own time.

Families will be invited to monthly workshops where students will come together, in school preferably (with the option of going online when necessary) for a fun filled session of hands-on and playful learning experiences.
