The foundation years for A Level and degree choices
The IGCSE subjects studied in Remove and Fifth Form provide the foundation for each student’s A Level and degree choices. They continue to study the core subjects of English Language (First or as a Second Language), Mathematics and at least one Science taken from Biology, Chemistry and Physics. If the student is a Japanese of Chinese national, they will also study Japanese or Chinese. They are also able to select up six additional subjects taken from Art and Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama, Economics, Geography, History, Computing, Music, Physical Education (PE), Physics, Religious Studies or Statistics.
Students in high sets will also study English Literature, Additional Mathematics or Further Mathematics as part of the curriculum.
In addition to their IGCSE courses, students also have Physical Education lessons and weekly tutorials. Finally, students take a course called Futures, during which they focus on future university destinations and careers, global citizenship and well-being.
